Banyule Primary School

Students in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 take part in weekly S.T.E.A.M lessons, where they explore the five core areas; Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. Students engage in hands-on activities and experiments with a focus on problem solving, team-work and creativity.

 

Throughout the year, students are involved in two units with a strong/significant focus on Art, and two units with a focus on STEM. Student are supported to develop their problem solving, and critical and creative thinking skills, by working individually, in pairs and small groups to complete various tasks. STEAM offers a range of open-ended activities to ensure all students are provided with challenges to meet their full potential.
